[edit] Volareweb.com
Hi! Can't you make a redirect to Volare Airlines in that page? Thank you,- 84.250.25.157 10:25, 14 October 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Archived
Hi, I have archived your talk page and have added a talk header.
Hope this helps.
Thanks

- It helps :) If people don't see the previous talk page I look like less of a troll. I stand by my belief that more redirects would help wikipedia's search functionality though. Mathiastck 16:35, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hi hope you remember me
Hi Mathiastck, Hope you remember me, I am Harishankar from Smackall.com, mobile game developer. We met long ago when I was writing articles about multiplayer mobile games. Just wanted to say hi, and how are you these days.. codetiger 14:25, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hey :) I have to admit I don't remember you well, because truth be told I comment on a lot of articles about multiplayer mobile games, (it used to be my business). Heck you if you look at MySpace as an MMO then I'm still doing it ;) Feel free to email/IM me, and I encourage you to hit me up on my public profesional myspace page, www.myspace.com/mathiasbyproxy. [edit] WP:CVU status
The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! [edit] Redirect of Jbenchmark
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Jbenchmark, by Closedmouth (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Jbenchmark is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Jbenchmark, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 07:43, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
- I dislike delete bots, this bot should be a redirect bot, since it was jut a case sensitivity error that resulted in a useless redirect. Mathiastck 08:56, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Little context in Elementeo
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Elementeo, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Elementeo is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

[edit] Comments or Feedback on Barcode Systems
Hi,
I am currently working to expand the stub that was about barcode systems here on Wikipedia. A big part of a barcode system are the mobile computers and software that runs on them. I noticed you had contributed to several articles related to mobile computers. If you had the time and would review and comment on the barcode systems article I'm am currently working on it would be greatly appreciated.

[edit] The Future of WP:40k
Hello. As a member of WP:40K I ask you to share your thoughts and opinions on a matter that I feel will shape the future of the project. Thanks. --Falcorian (talk) 06:22, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] 40K
Thanks for the heads up on 40k. It sounds like this is the sort of thing that will affect a lot of other projects too. A generic response should probably be developed. Mathiastck 23:41, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- Sounds like a sound idea... Do you have any thoughts on how to start such a response? --Falcorian (talk) 02:19, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
- I basically do this, have discussions like this on lots of different talk pages, or user talk pages :) Mathiastck 10:01, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Operating context
Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Operating context, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 23:14, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks! I like this bot. Very friendly for new users. Mathiastck (talk) 23:41, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note on my talk page. I have just looked at your improvements and they look fine to me. Just to explain why I put Prod on, I was patrolling the new pages and I was cheerfully putting speedy deletion tags on the nonsense pages when I found yours. On the one hand it didn't have enough content to justify an article and I couldn't really understand it. On the other hand it was about a real subject and I was unsure if you were going to come back and add more information. I didn't want it to sit and fester but I didn't want to speedy delete it unfairly either. Putting Prod on was my way to ensure that it either got improved within 5 days or it got deleted. I know this isn't what Prod is really meant for but it worked. ;-) --DanielRigal (talk) 23:48, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- I appreciate the insight into the process. I'm a strong inclusionist myself. I think wikipedia IS a directory, for example, which it explictiy states it is not. I consider an encyclopedia to be a subset of a directory though. I dislike that there is a burden of proof of notability on the person creating the article. People also seem to blur the line between "this article isn't good enough, so I'm deleting it", "this article isn't long enough, so I'm deleting it" and "this article isn't notable enough, so I'm deleting it." [edit] CfD nomination of Category:Wireless
I have nominated the discussion page. Thank you. Leo Laursen ( T ¦ C ) 08:38, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
for merging into . Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at- Hi Mathiastck. Looking at eg. Category:Mobile telephony, it makes sense to me that it is in those 3 categories. I propose that Category:Wireless and Category:Mobile coexists at the same level. How do You like that idea? – Leo Laursen – ☏ ⌘ 13:01, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- That's totally fine with me. I'd like to hear a few more voices weigh in. I found Motorola's glossary of terms, but it was pretty antiquated. To them Mobile Phone primarily meant car phone. The problem is that a lot of branding and marketing was thrown at each of these terms. I need to reread the current articles for wireless and mobile phone and compare them again. Cell phone now redirects to mobile phone. I think no matter what we do now there will be scores of articles, at least one for each countries major cell phone and telecomunications carriers or OEM's, that belong in category wireless, mobile, telecommunicatons, and likely even the mobile telephony page. I have a distaste for the term telephony, and for advanced telephony even more, but that's mainly a bias of mine. Mathiastck (talk) 19:10, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- Here is a good example. Should CTIA, or the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association, (known for it's conventions), be listed in the Mobile, Wireless, or Cellular, category? Should it be a Trade show or a Convention? Mathiastck (talk) 21:02, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- I'd say Wireless, Category:Telecommunication conferences, Category:Telecommunications organizations, Category:Technology trade associations and Category:Organizations based in Washington, D.C. But I only just skimmed over the article; then again, more knowledge sometimes complicates things. – Leo Laursen – ☏ ⌘ 11:15, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Category:Mobile phone standard nominated for Cfm
Hi Mathias. I have nominated Category:Mobile phone standard for merge into Category:Mobile telephony standards. The name should be plural and there is no point in having two so similar categories. Maybe You prefer Category:Mobile phone standards, if so please join the discussion on Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2008 February 13. – Leo Laursen – ☏ ⌘ 08:10, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
- As an extension of Vegaswikians reverse merge proposal, I've proposed to merge Category:Mobile telephony into Category:Mobile. [edit] Removal of category from your userpage
Hi. In enacting consensus from User categories for discussion, I have removed the category Category:Wikipedians interested in books from your userpage. It was determined in that deletion debate that this category should be depopulated of individuals, but kept as a parent category. If you wish to display a category reflecting your interest in books, please consider one of the specific sub-categories under its umbrella. Thanks, and please excuse the necessary editing of your user page! ----Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:24, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] why...?
is your user page listed under Category: Humor? Fanofranz (talk) 18:44, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
- Trying to stay light hearted. It sounds like that sort of practice is frowned upon, so I have removed the reference. Mathiastck (talk) 20:59, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
- It's no problem whatsoever, but definitely make sure you stay lighthearted Fanofranz (talk) 21:01, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
