Matze Schmidt is a social programmer, a media artist and a militant activist. Through his creations, he has made significant contributions to the development of multimedia and streaming applications on the critique on GNU/Linux.

He is author of the n0name newsletters and founder of radi0.tv ; he is also a successful artist, having produced netart installations and performances as the superfactory together with friends.

Matze Schmidt, also called the TJ, has his homepage on n0name.de and différance is his motto. He is als member of the bands 38317 and BUND: by playing hybrid between the fields of politics, art and technology, he defined himself as an inspiring online and onsite anti-identity, starting with the foundation of FONDS in 2000.
