Matt Longpre (born March 13, 1987) is a Juno Award winning Canadian rock singer-songwriter, whose 2009 debut release, Overdrama, became one of the bestselling independent releases in British Columbia and Canadian music history.

[edit] Biography
Born in Revelstoke, British Columbia, Longpre attended Claremont High School in Victoria, British Columbia, where he formed a musical partnership with drummer Keenan Murray. The duo then added vocalist Claire Coupland in late 2007, and titled themselves Act III. In late 2007, Act III recorded an EP entitled Crystalline Orbits and distributed it among friends and family, beginning on Christmas Day 2007. In May 2008, Longpre began composing what would become Overdrama, which would be released in 2009 to much critical acclaim and achieve nationwide success.
