Five bombs exploded in the capital of Katmandu and the western city of Pokhara on 20 June, leaving seven dead and at least 19 others injured. On 21 June three more bombs went off in the southern border town of Birgunj, killing one Chronology of Significant Terrorist Incidents 1961–2005 731 other person.
