Well, it should probably be pretty obvious that my name is Matt. I'm a newly-married, late-30s self-employed lover of hyphenated-expressive phrases :-)
Seriously, I am in fact a database administrator and occasional CGI programmer (worked with XML a bit too). I am proud of my Latin skills. (I used to regularly translate the UserFriendly cartoon -- interesting to talk about video games and modems in Latin.)
I'm very picky about grammar and wording; I'd probably make a good proofreader, and I try to maintain a high level of written style in my work. (I'm a fan of relatively complex sentence structure; I regard the semicolon as an endangered species in need of rescue.)
Other than Latin, I like Harry Potter and have made some contributions to that project; I also have a history in education, and am trying to work on articles concerning (often lesser-known) court decisions which have influenced public education in America.
