Castle Hills First Baptist Church is located in Castle Hills, TX. It is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention. In addition to the various ministries, the church also oversees a school that teaches grades K-12.

The Church first formed in a small meeting in a house on Hibiscus Lane on August 19, 1953.

[edit] Roy Fish Called as Interim Senior Pastor
In the sudden absence of a senior pastor after Bruce Coe's sudden and unexpected departure, the Church called retired seminary professor and preacher Dr. Roy Fish. Dr. Fish previously taught at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and had several successful experiences as interim pastor at various churches. Dr. Fish took over the responsibilities of delivering the messages for the Saturday night and Sunday morning services. He served in the position for little over 18 months before being called to the North American Missions Board to serve as their interim president. Dr. Fish also was recognized by the Southwester Baptist Theological Seminary by naming it's The school of Evangelism and Missions after him.

The church has several missions they include:

Television Ministry
The Television Ministry's primary mission has been to tape and produce Sunday morning services and prepare them for broadcast on television. The church broadcasted on local cable access and the local NBC affiliate WOAI for several years, but due to budgetary constraints, was not able to sustain the costs of broadcasting every Sunday morning. The Television ministry serves within the church by installing and maintaining the vast majority of technological aspects of the church. The ministry also continues to sell cassette tapes, CD's and DVD's of the various services and events throughout each week.

Music Ministry
The church's Music Ministry oversees worship for the Wednesday Night prayer service, the Saturday night Worship service as well as the Sunday morning worship service. The Music Ministry also produces major events such as River City Christmas and several other special events. Worship Sunday morning includes a small worship band, choir and orchestra. The Saturday evening service is more contemporary in terms of music while the Wednesday night service is a mix between contemporary and traditional style music.

The church celebrates several special events annually. They include the Fall Family Festival, River City Christmas, and Christmas Eve Celebration. For events such as the Fall Family festival, the church has had special performing groups like Jump 5 and BJ Harris. The church has also featured special guests such as Geron Davis and the Kindred Spirits as well as Marty Goetz.
