I see nothing to show that this organist passes WP:MUSIC. May I suggest that we add some relevant sources -- e.g., non-trivial media citations, published works? Otherwise I will take this to WP:AFD. thanks. bikeable (talk) 03:14, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

According to WP:MUSIC, A musician or ensemble (note that this includes a band, singer, rapper, orchestra, DJ, musical theatre group, etc.) is notable if it meets any one of the following criteria:

Has gone on an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one sovereign country, reported in reliable sources, please see

http://www.grosvenorchapel.org.uk/downloads/Newsletter-October-05.pdf http://www.organrecitals.com/1/past0510.php

I am sure there are more, but I know Matthew went to London in 2005 and so that is what I searched. Also, he went to Italy in 2003 and 2005.

Has won or placed in a major music competition. For this, please see the article- the Arthur Poister is a major competition. These winners are usually at the top of their game. As the orginal article states, Matthew was a "late bloomer" so many of the other noteable competitions, such as Albans or Chartes are out of reach for him because of his age. Winning any AGO competition is great, and so that too quilifies under this.

Is frequently covered in publications devoted to a notable sub-culture. I have seen Matthew covered in "The American Organist" several times. I can't say how often, but enough that I have taken notice.
