Articles for deletion This article was nominated for deletion on 18 November 2007. The result of the discussion was no consensus.

The reason for the speedy deletion of this page is that Marr's only valid claim to notability is based on an event that occurred earlier this week. If nothing more happens to him, he will soon be forgotten. --Blanchardb (talk) 12:22, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

This is a senior Scottish Labour Party figure who also was President of Dundee Student Union. In addition the article is of interest from a current affairs perspective (i.e. the affairs surrounding Ms. Alexander). --User:Boatcolour 12:23, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

You may want to check Wikipedia's criteria of notability, especially Notability is not temporary. If Marr is notable under a purely current affairs perspective, then the article belongs in Wikinews if it's not already there. --Blanchardb (talk) 13:00, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Delete it. One is not notable by being an ex-political advisor, nor by being an official within a students' association. It simply fleeting coverage in a newspaper for one event. --Breadandcheese (talk) 13:42, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
