[edit] Matthew Kane the first named protoganist of Quake?
technically wasn't the character you played in quake 2 named "bitterman", and later appeared in quake 3?
- Yes. It wasn't as explicit as Kane's name usage in Quake 4, however. -Deuxsonic 11:05, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- Quake 2's character is referred to as 'Bitterman', but since that wasn't technically his name, Kane can still be referred to as the first named character. Makron1n 20:56, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Silent?
Well I dont have the full game. But I played the demo and I recall the moment when you move over to the location where the commander (or leader) tells you to go to the hangar, I thought that I heard Kane say: "what have I missed?"
If you look behind you will see that Sgt. Morris appears behind you and says that.
- It's Morris that says that. Xihr 04:44, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wins the war?
Article says "When Kane does indeed win the war, he only receives...". He doesn't win the war, he just achieves an important strategic victory. That's why he receives new orders, the war is still going on. -- ironcito 03:10, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
