[edit] Photo Needed
We need a photo for this article, preferably public domain. I am adding a CC-BY that was on Flickr, but see if somebody wants to replace it, go right ahead. Jehochman (Talk/Contrib) 17:32, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Matt Cutts Facts External Link
I think this link in non-encyclopedic, as it does not convey any useful information, other than the fact that a joke site exists about Matt. I am deleting, and adding in the edit notes that in order for the site to be added, to discuss it here first. Puchscooter 14:19, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Notability
Cutts gets quoted in two New York Times articles.[1] [2] Times' search engine also pulled up an abstract of another article, but I was unable to see the whole article which supposedly includes Cutts.[3]
See this Wall Street Journal article.[4] Further searching the Wall Street Journal[5], Cutts is also apparently mentioned in 4 other articles but I did not pay for them.[6] [7] [8] [9] --A. B. (talk) 13:26, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Matt Cutts is responsible for the porn filter at google, appears on several patents. [10] --Webprofessor 19:34, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Book References
I added a reference to a chapter in The Google Story mentioning him.

[edit] American
Is Cutts an American? If he went to the University of Kentucky and worked with the NSA for a while, then I'm guessing he is. If we actually know, it should be mentioned. --Gwern (contribs) 03:21 10 January 2007 (GMT)
[edit] Photo caption
Which person in the photo is Cutts? Presumably the one in clearer focus? The caption should be labeled appropriately: (Matt Cutts (left), or something like that. --ZimZalaBim (talk) 00:46, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, on the left. I edited the caption. --Miguel 03:46, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
I've got a few photos of Matt Cutts that are more clear and have only him on them that I took myself. What would I have to do to put them in the Public Domain and make them available for this entry? --Killroy 15:34, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Just upload them and choose the appropriate copyright status. Be sure to mention in the comments that you took the picture yourself and are releasing it to the public domain. Feel free to replace the one here if you have better. Jehochman (Talk/Contrib) 07:31, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Matt Cutts Blog Hacked
Have you guys seen this? I wish I could alert him, but since his blog has been hacked I can't retrieve his contact info. I have captured the HACKED notice they put up, here is a copy... http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/1078/mattcuttshackedmz1.jpg ...--65.95.92.243 10:47, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
- Er ... looking at the date on my own signature here, obviously this is a joke. Now my face is red. Hey, what the heck, it's what April Fool's is all about. I got totally reeled in. I wonder if this practice of Matt's is appropriate to mention in this article?--65.95.92.243 12:01, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Reference #2
the reference #2 to the blog post "bouncing" says it clarifies the PhD, however in reading it it doesn't seem to make any mention of it. Should this be removed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.184.30.42 (talk) 17:18, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
