Talk:Mata Ortiz

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Links on Wikipedia should be non-commercial, non self-promoting. OR, if there is one link to a site that is promoting the sale of its own products, others should be allowed. ALL Mata Ortiz pottery dealers have "beautiful examples" of Mata Ortiz pottery that they could, no doubt, share here.

Spencer MacCallum's site is probably the most neutral; he is someone whose history and interest in Mata Ortiz are not merely related to making money. Along with other information about the village/ceramics of Mata Ortiz on his site are listings of commercial sites associated with Mata Ortiz(including those deleted from this article), info. for visitors and those wanting to view showings of the ceramics.

The two print/book sources listed in the article are very good. No objections to those.

It has been suggested that this article be moved to Mata Ortiz pottery. Comments or opinions? WBardwin 22:55, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

Probably not a bad idea considering that Mata Ortiz is actually a village/town in Mexico. Joekoz451 16:42, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
I think I will do so in the near future, but link Mata Ortiz to it until someone finds something else it is known for. Also have other information to add. Carol Moore 01:14, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Carolmooredc {talk}

Hello everydoby, I am actually interested in writting about Mata Ortiz, which is a village itself in Chihuahua. I happen to know this because I am Mexican and I´ve been there. I´ve been there and I know it is a village, a separate one and it only produces pottery, nothing else. I will post my results in a few days. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lita16 (talkcontribs) 23:38, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
