Matvey Korobov (Russian: Матвей Георгиевич Коробов, b. January 7, 1983 at Orotukan) is a Russian amateur boxer best known to win the middleweight world title in 2005 and 2007.

179cm (5’9) Southpaw Korobov who is famous for his work ethics won the European junior title in 2001.
He didn't participate in the Olympics 2004 as his country chose to send Gaydarbek Gaydarbekov who eventually won.
Afterwards he completely dominated his weightclass internationally. He won the world championships in 2005 against Emilio Correa and the European Xhampionships in 2006 defeating Oleksandr Usyk. At the Chemiepokal 2006 he bested Asian champ Elshod Rasulov.
He once again won the world title by easily beating Sergiy Derevyanchenko and dominating Alfonso Blanco in 2007 by a score of PTS 29:4. His main rival is 21-year old compatriot Dmitri Chudinov.
