Mattias Karlsson (born April 15, 1985, Storå, Sweden) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player. He was selected in the 4th round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators. He is currently playing with Färjestads BK of the Swedish Elite League.

Mattias turned professional with Brynäs IF in 2002-03. His play attracted the attention of NHL scouts and he was drafted in the 4th round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators of the NHL. He played for Brynäs and Clermont in 2003-04, Hassfurt and Brynäs in 2004-05, Almtuna and Nijmegen Emperors in 2005-06, before settling down to one team Bofors IK for 2006-07. Karlsson was tied for the team lead in scoring with 32 points (11 goals) in 2006-07 and added 34 penalty minutes in 44 games. He signed with Ottawa in 2007 and played two games with the Senators' AHL team Binghamton Senators before returning to Sweden to play with Färjestads BK on assignment from Ottawa on October 26, 2007.[1]
