Matthias Schweighöfer (*March 11, 1981) is a German actor. He is sometimes credited as Matthias Schweighofer

Born in Anklam, GDR, Schweighöfer attended the renowned acting school Hochschule für Schauspielkunst „Ernst Busch“, but dropped out after one year.[1]

Nevertheless, the son of an actor couple[2] is considered as one of the most promising talents of European Film and already worked with established directors like Peter Greenaway. Schweighöfer is currently living in Berlin.
