Matthew Yorke

Matthew Yorke (born November 24, 1958 to Emma Tennant and Sebastian Yorke) is a British novelist and editor. His most recent work was 2005's critically acclaimed Chancing It - a short novel for young adults, which was nominated for three 'Book Of The Year' prizes. His previous novel - The March Fence - won the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize, and he has also edited Surviving: The Uncollected Works of Henry Green (his grandfather, whose real name was Henry Yorke).
Matthew now lives and works in Leeds as an engineer, and is still working on an upcoming novel in his spare time. He has two children, and a dog called Pip.
