  • Matthew West Matthew West was a Goldsmith of Great prominence in the City of Dublin. He was apprenticed to John West in 1762 and was free in 1769. He was elected a Warden of the Company in 1780 and was Master in 1783/4 and he was also elected to the Common Council of the City of Dublin in 1783, 1789, 1795 and 1801.
