Born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on July 14, 1967[1], Matthew Wayne Selznick is a novelist, podcaster and DIY enthusiast who released his first novel, "Brave Men Run: A Novel of the Sovereign Era" in print, DRM-free ebook, and free podcast editions. It was the first work of original fiction with an initial simultaneous release in those formats, and one of the first podcast novels, or “podiobooks.”

Swarm Press, an imprint of Permuted Press, is set to re-issue a world-wide paperback edition of “Brave Men Run - A Novel of the Sovereign Era.” in the summer of 2008[2].

Selznick expects to release his second novel, “Pilgrimage” in 2008.

Selznick is a noted authority in podcasting and new media. He has been featured in "Tricks of the Podcasting Masters,"[3] and "Book Marketing Demystified."[4].

Selznick has done dramatic readings for several podcasts, including Escape Pod, Pseudopod, and Variant Frequencies.
