Matthew Vaughan-Davies, 1st Baron Ystwyth

Matthew Lewis Vaughan-Davies, 1st Baron Ystwyth (17 December 1840–21 August 1935) was a Welsh Liberal Party politician.
Vaughan-Davies was born at Tan-y-Bwlch, Cardiganshire. He went to Harrow School, but only stayed for a year. At the 1895 general election, he was elected as Member of Parliament (MP) for Cardiganshire. He held the seat until 1921, when he was elevated to the peerage as Baron Ystwyth in the 1921 New Year Honours. He had no children and the title became extinct on his death.
