Matthew T. Cronin (? - 1931) was 10th the mayor of Bayonne, New Jersey from 1912 to 1914.
A Democrat, Cronin defeated the incumbent mayor, John J. Cain in the Democratic primaries and then won the general election for mayor. he served one term and was responsible for Bayonne improving their water supply. He ran again for mayor in 1913, but lost in the Democratic primaries to Dr. Bart J. Daly (who went on to win).
Cronin died on October 23, 1931 in his home. His funeral mass was in St. Vincent's R.C. Church in Bayonne. He is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn.
