Matthew Silverman

Matthew Silverman (born in Dallas, Texas) is a former investment banker who is currently the President of the Tampa Bay Rays. He took the position in October 2005 when control of the team transferred to new majority owner Stuart Sternberg.

Prior to his current position, Silverman worked at Goldman Sachs in its Merchant Banking Division, alongside Sternberg. He assisted in putting together Sternberg's bid to purchase controlling interest in the Rays.

He currently resides in Tampa, Florida. He is the team representative at the Tampa Bay Partnership, and is a board member of both the Pinellas Education Foundation and the Hillsborough Education Foundation.
