Matthew Settle (born September 17, 1969) is an American actor known for playing Capt. Ronald Speirs on the HBO show Band of Brothers. He is also currently playing Rufus Humphrey on the new CW show Gossip Girl.
was born in Hickory, North Carolina, the son of Joan and Dr. Robert Settle, who is a Baptist minister.[1] He is the youngest of six, having two sisters and three brothers. Settle married actress/singerLauren Fox in 2006.[2][3][4]
