Matthew Lien

Matthew Carl Lien (pronounced /liːˈɛn/; born 10 May 1965 in San Diego, California) is a Yukon, Canada based world music singer-songwriter. His primary lyrical focus is on environmental themes.
During his childhood in San Diego, Lien would visit his father in Whitehorse, Yukon each summer, eventually moving there when he was 16.
Lien is highly regarded in Taiwan for his environmental music and his work with aboriginal people there. His profile in Taiwan is such that he is even sought for commercial endorsements.[1]

Matthew Lien is the President of the John Graham Defense Committee, an organization formed to prevent the extradition of John Graham (aka John Boy Patton), a Southern Tutchone Athabascan man from Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada who is accused of the murder of Anna Mae Pictou Aquash. [1]
