Originally from Houston, Texas, Matthew Hager is a prolific music producer and songwriter currently living in Los Angeles. Best known as the producer and collaborator for Pop-Jazz sensation Mindi Abair, Matthew has written and produced several number one hit singles, a few critically acclaimed albums, and has worked with many established and breakthrough artists including Mandy Moore, John Taylor, Duran Duran, Simply Red, and Scott Weiland from Velvet Revolver and Stone Temple Pilots. Matthew has also performed his own songs in the popular movie "A Walk to Remember".
Matthew mixed the song "Cry Baby Cry" and engineered "Falling Down" for Duran Duran's newest album Red Carpet Massacre.
He most recently produced and co-wrote Mindi Abair's 4th major label album "Stars" due out May 6, 2008 which includes the hit singles "Smile" and "Stars".
Mindi Abair is with Peak/Concord Music Group. Duran Duran is with Epic Records. Velvet Revolver is with RCA Records.
