Matthew Friedman

Matthew Friedman is a musician, singer and performer from New York, New York. In January of 2006, he became the Piano Man in the First National Touring Company of Billy Joel and Twyla Tharp's acclaimed musical, Movin' Out, a role which he performed until the tour's end in January of 2007. In addition to piano, Matthew plays acoustic and 12-string guitars and bass guitar.
Matthew is also an accomplished songwriter, having twice been selected as a featured artist at the prestigious Alternative Torch Concert Series, a showcase for Broadway performers to play their original compositions. He performs and records his original songs with the Friedman Brothers Band, which also includes three of his siblings.
Matthew will be returning to the Piano Man role in the upcoming Second National Tour of Movin' Out, which opens on June 14, 2007 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
