Mathew Edile (born December 6,1990) is a Nigerian football left back who plays for the Nigeria under 17 national team (the Golden Eaglets).

He was among the Nigerian squad that won the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup. On the 23rd of October it was reported that Edile and fellow Nigeria U-17 team mate Macauley Chrisantus were flying into Manchester to have medicals, and to look around the City of Manchester Stadium, home of Manchester City F.C.
Edile took one of the penalties on the final match of the world cup held in Korea in 2007, as Nigeria beat Spain on penalty shoot out by 3-0.
