Matthew John Dennington (born October 16, 1982) is a South African cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler.

Born in Durban, Dennington holds a European passport, making him eligible for the England squad. When Mark Ealham disappeared to Nottinghamshire, Dennington was his rightful successor. During the 2003 Twenty20 cup he earned a Man of the Match award for a bowling spell of 4/28.

In 2005, Dennington has struggled to maintain a first-team place in the squad. He tends to open the batting and bowling for St Lawrence & Highland Court 1st XI, based in Canterbury, on Saturday's in the Kent Cricket League.
