Matthew Beard (born 25 March 1989) is an English film and television actor.
He was a member of the children's acting agency in Leeds, Scala and is now with Independent, London. He was seen most recently as "Teenage Blake" in And When Did You Last See Your Father?. His performance has gained him rave reviews and he was selected by Screen International as "A Star Of Tomorrow" and a "Trailblazer" at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
In 2007 He was nominated for Best Newcomer at the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA's) and Best Newcomer at the Evening Standard British Film Awards.
In March 2008 he will start filming "An Education" to be directed by Lone Scherfig
