After competing in karting championships from 1992 to 2000, Meneghello competed in the Formula Renault 2000 Italy in 2002, and then switched to the British equivalent for 2003. Meneghello also competed in both the Euro and FIA Formula 3000 series in 2004, but was limited to only one race in both.

Meneghello has competed in the World Series by Renault series in 2005 and 2006, but with limited success. Along with Pastor Maldonado, he was banned for four races in 2005 for his role in an accident at Monaco which left a marshal seriously injured.[1]
