Matt Woolsey

Also Matthew Woolsey, born December 29, 1981 in San Francisco is a journalist and new media writer.

Woolsey is an American journalist, currently working as a reporter for Forbes who makes television appearances on CNN, CNN-IBN; radio commentary on NPR and Fox News stations and web content on AOL, Yahoo!, MSN, Rediff, ABC News and USA Today. He covers real estate, lifestyle, baseball, transportation and small business.

Woolsey also serves on the board of directors for the New Media Consortium, an international 501(c)3 not-for-profit consortium, founded in 1993, consisting of more than 250 colleges, universities, museums, corporations, and other learning-focused organizations dedicated to the exploration and use of new media and new technologies.

NMC member institutions are found in almost every state in the United States, across Canada, and in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Australia. The 2006 NMC Summer conference was hosted by Case Western, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Cleveland Institute of Art. In 2007 the NMC Summer Conference will be hosted by IUPUI in Indianapolis; the 2008 conference will be held at Princeton University.

Work focused on digital literacy and new media learnings has appeared in Educause's ECAR journal for applied research and Ohio State University's Theory into Practice journal, published through the College of Education and Human Ecology.
