Matthew McKay (born January 11, 1983 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia) is an Australian football (soccer) player who plays as an attacking midfielder, a centre midfielder or left midfielder. He currently plays for Queensland Roar after a loan a short loan period at Incheon United from the Roar.

Matt attended Brisbane Grammar School, a high school with a high pedigree in producing Football players. Under the guidance of former Australian international Mark Brusasco, Matt's footballing talents were nurtured at the school. In Year 10 he was already in the school 1st team, and eventually winning the prestigious treble of GPS Championships, Ulhsport Cup and Southern Skies Tournament in Year 12.

He represented Australia in the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship.

On the 16th of August 2006, McKay came on for Australia in the 90th minute of the Asian Cup Qualifier against Kuwait for his first Socceroo cap.
