Matt McIntosh (born January 13, 1971 in southwestern Connecticut) is a singer-songwriter and guitarist best known for his longtime involvement in the American hardcore-punk community since the mid-late 1980s, touring and recording with bands like Hatebreed, Deathkiller and The Eventide.

In early 2007 McIntosh began recording and performing using his proper name, producing a dynamic more akin to traditional American singer-songwriters than the genre he is known for. During the summer of 2007 a handful of what were believed to be McIntosh's home recordings turned up on file sharing music sites under the heading The Basement Demos. As of November 2007, McIntosh has officially released The Basement Demos via free download, exclusively through the popular music scrobbling site Last.fm.
