Matt McGinnis

Matt McGinnis is a supporting character in the Kids' WB animated series Batman Beyond, in which he is the brother of the title character, Batman (Terry McGinnis). He was voiced by actor Ryan O'Donohue.
Matt McGinnis is the son of Warren and Mary McGinnis, and prior to the first episode he lives with his mother after his parents' divorce. His older brother Terry lives with his father, and the two have a sort of sibling rivalry, with Matt often going to great lengths to annoy Terry, apparently for the fun of it. This rivalry only seems to intensify after Warren McGinnis is murdered by his employer, Derek Powers, and hitman Mr. Fixx. Nevertheless, Terry and Matt care for each other, as evidenced by some of the more touching moments of the series, such as when Terry comforts Matt about their father's death.
After Batman comes back into the picture of Gotham after twenty years of absence, Matt becomes a fan and idolizes him, not knowing that his brother and the hero he worships are one and the same.
The Justice League Unlimited episode Epilogue revealed that Terry and Matt are the genetic offspring of Bruce Wayne, the original Batman. Government agent Amanda Waller, believing that the world needed a Batman, arranged for Warren McGinnis' reproductive DNA to be overwritten by Bruce's by means of a fake flu shot.
