Matt Littler (born 19 March 1982) is an English actor & director born in Bury, Lancashire, England.

He is most famous for playing the role Max Cunningham in the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, which he has played since 1997[1]. In 2006 Matt received a nomination for Best Actor at the Soap Awards[2]. In 2006 he also appeared in the BBC reality programme Only Fools on Horses were he rode the Horse Fibi.

Mid 2007, Matt has appeard with a totally different role in Neil Carroll's For King and Country.

He is close friends with on-screen best friend Darren Jeffries (Sam "O.B." O'Brien).[3]

He is one day older then his Hollyoaks alter-ego Max Cunningham. He is leaving the soap 27th June on his character's wedding day and it has been heavily rumoured that he will be killed off.
