Matthew Letscher (born June 26, 1970 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan) is an American actor.

He is known for starring on the TV series Good Morning, Miami, for playing the recurring character of Eric Garrett in Joey, and perhaps best remembered as the utterly contemptible Capt. Harrison Love in The Mask of Zorro. He also starred in romantic comedy Lovelife (1996) opposite Saffron Burrows, Carla Gugino and Sherilyn Fenn and has a recurring role on The New Adventures of Old Christine.

In 2000, Matt portrayed Beach Boy Mike Love in The Beach Boys: An American Family made-for-TV miniseries.

He portrayed Colonel Adelbert Ames, commander of the 20th Maine Volunteer Infantry Regiment in the movie adaptation of Jeffrey Shaara's Gods and Generals.

In 2004 he played Guy Stone, the lead in Straight-Jacket, a fictional 1950s closeted gay filmstar loosely based on Rock Hudson.

In June 2007, Jeff Daniels' Purple Rose Theatre Company in Chelsea, Michigan, staged the world premiere of Sea of Fools, a farce set in Joseph McCarthy-era Hollywood, written and directed by Letscher. Film director (and infamous HUAC name-giver) Elia Kazan is a character in the play.

He will next be seen in Nothing is Private, from American Beauty writer Alan Ball.

He now stars in ABC's new drama Eli Stone, as Nathan Stone, the title character's brother who is also a doctor.
