Matt Lentz (born November 19, 1982 in Ortonville, Michigan) is an American football guard and tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League. He was originally signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at Michigan.

Lentz is a graduate of Brandon High School in Ortonville, where he was named Offensive Player of the Year and ranked the number one player in the state by the Oakland Press. He was also a regional champion in Shot Put and Discus, setting new school records in both fields in his Junior year.

Lentz attended the University of Michigan, earning his first varsity letter as a sophomore in 2002. He went on to become a three-year starter at right guard, and a two-time All-Big Ten first teamer.

Lentz played his first game for the Giants in their fourth pre-season game in 2006, which they won 31-23 over the New England Patriots as part of an unknown backup offensive line, also including NaShani Goddard and Todd Londot, protecting backup quarterback Jared Lorenzen who threw 10 of 15 passes for 116 yards.
Lentz did not start a regular season game during his time with the Giants, and was released during the final roster cuts before the 2007 regular season.[1] The day after, Lentz was signed to the Giants practice squad. [2]. On September 11th, 2007, Lentz had his contract terminated from the practice squad.
Lentz is now a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad.
