From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Matt Johnson was a finalist of the reality TV show Popstars: The Rivals. He managed to get in the winning male group One True Voice.
After the group disbanded in 2003, it was surprisingly announced that Matt Johnson had signed a solo contract with Polydor Records. This surprised many who questioned Polydor's decision to sign him. However despite his signing he never released an album or single and is thought to have left the label just a few months after signing for them,.
Matt Johnson auditioned for The X Factor in 2004 although he was unsuccessful and didn't make it past the boot camp round.
Matt has now started a new 'rock' band called State Warning (www.statewarning.com) The group consists of Matt on lead vocals, Sam Ferns on Rhythm Guitar, Rye Hayes on Bass Guitar, Jack Woodhall on Lead Guitar and Leo Stanfield on Drums. Their music is a mix of pop/rock, they have been compared to such disparate bands as Mcfly and Bon Jovi.
