Matthew Theodore Holmes (born July 17, 1976 in Albury, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian actor.

Holmes attended Newington College (1981-1993). [1] He gained an Advanced Diploma in Acting at the Actors College of Theatre and Television. [2]

Holmes was one of the main characters in Sea Patrol's 2007 and 2008 season . His character was Petty Officer Chris Blake, the Coxswain of a fictional Royal Australian Navy Patrol Boat.

He appeared as Constable Matthew "Matt" Graham on the now-defunct Seven Network Australian police drama series Blue Heelers. He made his first appearance in the twelfth season (2005), yet because of the show's axing the next year, he only appeared in twenty-one episodes, the finale being broadcast in June 2006.

Before his role on Blue Heelers, Holmes had a guest role on All Saints in an eighth season episode (2005) as Peter Sinclair. He also appeared in BlackJack - The Trilogy in two episodes over 2005 and 2006 as Derek Chubb.

Holmes is also recognised for appearing in two television ads - one for the website seek.com.au and the other for the Victoria and Queensland Government's Drink-Driving campaign.
