Matt Dominguez (born June 27, 1978 in Georgetown, Texas, United States) is a top receiver for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. Matt attended Sam Houston State for college were he was the team's MVP twice and the school's first NCAA division I-AA All-American. Matt spent time on the Denver Broncos practice roster and played in 12 games with 3 receptions for 27 yards, his first catch came against the Seattle Seahawks on October 14, 2002. After being released Matt was signed by the Roughriders in 2003 and quickly used his size to his advantage and became a fan favourite by gaining over 1,000 yards in his first year. In 2004 Matt signed with the New York Jets of the NFL, CFL players Kenton Keith and Ricky Ray signed with the Jets too. All three were cut and returned to the CFL. In 2005 Matt tore ligimants in his knee and was lost for the season after two games. Matt is currently listed at 6'2" and 220 pounds. Matt spends his off-season in Regina with his wife Jennifer and his son Matt Jr. and daughter Victoria. Matt enjoys basketball, movies and anything funny, he would also like to be a history teacher when his football career is over.
