Matt Delligatti is the youngest ever city councilman of Fairmont, West Virginia representing the ninth district. He assumed office in January 2007, at the age of twenty, after winning an election over better financed competitors in November 2006. Matt and his older brother Anthony ran the campaign together.

In 2007, Matt became West Virginia University's 22nd recipient of the prestigious Harry S. Truman Scholarship[1]. The Truman Foundation gives out these awards annually to a select few American students who are dedicated to public service. Matt graduated in 2008 from West Virginia University where he received the Order of Augusta, an award of academic excellence awarded to five students annually.

Matt was born on May 22, 1986 in Fairmont, WV at Fairmont General Hospital.
