Matt Delaney, (born October 12, 1968) is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. After having a short stint with The Smashing Pumpkins, he led the band the Spodee Odees in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to Northampton, Massachusetts, where he produced his first solo album, A Day in the Sun. He currently performs in Western Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and New York City. He is a former alcoholic and drug user, who finally became clean. Many of his songs deal with the drug issue, and freedom from the clutch of chemicals. He is a member of the organization FCD or freedom from chemical dependency and travels to different schools teaching about the issue.
