Matt Cockbain

Matt Cockbain (born 19 September 1972) is an Australian rugby union footballer. He played over 60 times for the national, the Wallabies. He made his debut for Australia in 1997 in Brisbane, in a Test match against France.

His brother, Brent Cockbain also plays rugby union and plays for Wales. Matt recently played with the Melbourne Rebels franchise in the now defunct Australian Rugby Championship provincial competition, held in 2007. Due to his performances, he was called up as an injury standby for the 2007 Wallaby World Cup squad.

Matt currently has a coaching and mentoring role at the Melbourne University Rugby Football Club.
