Matt Carter (racer)

Matt Carter (born May 13, 1981 in Denver, NC) is a full-time competitor in the ARCA RE/MAX Series and the son of former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car owner Travis Carter.

Carter is running for the SunTrust Rookie Of The Year award in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, driving for Larry Clement Racing which won nine series titles with driver Frank Kimmel. Carter won his first ARCA race, the Hantz Group 200 on May 18, 2008.

Prior to ARCA, Carter competed in one NASCAR Nationwide Series race and one NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event. He has also competed in USAR Hooters Procup Series and other late model series throughout the east.
