Matt Caplin

Matt Caplin is a photographer currently residing in Butler, Perth, WA. He was born in Perth, Australia on the 17th June, 1990.
Matt Caplin's first publication was in JPG Magazine's "Fashion Issue" in 2007. Following this, he has photographed campaigns for Wayfunky Swimwear's "Funkita", "Ki.Argo" and "Funky Trunks" ranges; the latter (Funky Trunks) being modelled by 2008 Big Brother contestant Craig Barnett, aka "Barney".

Matt Caplin was a finalist in the prestigious Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize, 2007. His piece, entitled "Outback Royalty", made the rounds in the major Australian state art galleries, and now resides permanently in the Art Gallery of NSW, along with the other finalist pieces and winning piece.
His published piece in JPG Magazine's "Fashion Issue", featuring Australian model Skye Stracke (who was signed to Viviens Model Management at the time, but is now also signed to the Paris division of DNA Models) was part of a fashion exhibition hosted by JPG Magazine, in San Francisco.
