Matt Bloom is a British award-winning television, commercials and short film director, and a graduate of the Newport Film School. Recent wins include Royal Television Society Best Drama award for film "On The Out". In 2001 he was mentored by Moulin Rouge! director Baz Luhrmann. Shows he has directed include Heartbeat, Peter Slater's Comedy Lab,The Bill,Byker Grove and Footballers' Wives. He puts profits from his work back into producing short films, often in the sci-fi, fantasy or comedy genre.
