Matt Bell

Matthew E. Bell is a professional race car driver, currently racing for Turner Motorsport in the Grand American Road Racing Association ST class in a BMW E46 330i. Bell was born August 31, 1985 in Los Altos, California. He currently resides in San Mateo, California.
After graduating from Mountain View High School Bell enrolled in the Academy of Art University, San Francisco where he was an Industrial Design major focusing on automobile design. He uses this experience today in creating various project cars.
Bell started racing by enrolling in a Skip Barber Racing School when he received his drivers license. Next he began entering High Performance Drivers Education and other open track days in a BMW E30 M3 which he built with his father in their garage. Bell also worked as a part time driving instructor at the track. Eventually Bell purchased an Turner Motorsport former SPEED World Challenge Touring car. In his first BMW Car Club of America club race in April of 2007 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Matt finished second overall behind veteran Mike Miller of Bullet Performance. Matt placed 4th in the BMW CCA national points standings after his first year in the series. He currently competes in any west coast BMW CCA races that do not conflict with his professional career.
Recently Bell competed in the Grand Am Daytona KONI Challenge Series to begin the 2008 racing season.[1]
