Matt Barbet

Matt Barbet (born 1976) is a British television presenter and correspondent on Five News. He was previously a presenter and reporter for BBC London until 2007 and also presented BBC London's Children in Need coverage in 2006 and BBC Breakfast.
Before joining BBC London he worked at BBC Radio 1 as a newsreader on the Sara Cox Breakfast Show, and also appeared briefly as a newsreader on Channel 5.
Additionally, Barbet also presented the BBC's STORYFix programme - a light, upbeat look at the news shown on BBC News 24 and the BBC website.
In August 2007, Matt was named as a presenter and correspondent on Five News. His position comes after Kirsty Young, the principal anchor, announced her departure from the programme. Matt took up his new role in November.[1]
