Matt Adamson (born 14 August 1972 in Taree, New South Wales) is an Australian former professional rugby league player for the Parramatta Eels, Penrith Panthers, and finally the Canberra Raiders in Australasia's National Rugby League competition. A representative of New South Wales and the Kangaroos, Adamson also played in England with UK Super League side, Leeds Rhinos.

During his youth at Taree High School in he experimented with several sports, including cricket,starring as an upper order batsmen before choosing to play rugby league[citation needed].

Adamson is currently an assistant coach at Penrith Panthers.[2]
