Matsushima (松島町 Matsushima-machi?) is a town located in Miyagi District, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. It is most famous as the location of Matsushima Bay, one of the Three Views of Japan, and is also the site of the Zuigan-ji, one of the most famous Zen temples in Tohoku.

As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 16,504 and a density of 305.40 persons per km². The total area is 54.04 km².
