Matsuo, Chiba

Matsuo (松尾町; -machi) is a town located in Sanbu District, Chiba, Japan.
As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 11,010 and a density of 292.90 persons per km². The total area is 37.59 km².
On March 27, 2006 the new city of Sanmu was formed by the merger of the municipalities of Sanbu, Naruto, Hasunuma and Matsuo.
