Matsuda Masachika (松田政近?) (????-1582) a retainer of the Japanese clan of Akechi following the Sengoku period of the 16th century to the earlier years of the Azuchi-Momoyama period. Masachika was born into a very prestigious family in the region of Tamba Province.
Following the betrayal at Honnōji, Masachika served on the side of Akechi Mitsuhide. Also serving Mitsuhide during the Battle of Yamasaki, he was to lead the right wing due to his great familiarity with the region. After fighting very intensely against Kuroda Kanbei, Masachika vanished from the battlefield, fighting for the will of the Akechi.
